In 1967, following a hard fought battle with the powers that be, The Monkees were granted control over their own music. After hiring producer Chip Douglas (The Turtles), the band got to work on their third album, Headquarters, which was performed solely by Dolenz, Jones, Nesmith, and Tork (with Douglas contributing on the occasional bass).
Stack O' Tracks celebrates the 50th anniversary of Headquarters by stripping away the album's vocal tracks, showcasing The Monkees as a self-contained band. Joe Reagoso does a fantastic job here in the mastering of these historic tracks specifically for vinyl.
NOTE: As with many vinyl releases on the Friday Music label, this LP is not factory sealed. It was distributed by the label in a protective outer plastic sleeve, and is brand new and unplayed.
